Please visit our website www.globalkall.com ;
Also check our posters for details.
Can I use Globalkall from payphones?
Our access numbers are accessible from any UK phone, including payphones. However, be aware that calls from payphones could be surcharged and may cost more than the price stated on this website.
How are my calls billed?
Charges for calls to our access numbers will appear on your normal phone bill from your telephone provider.
For example, if you make a 5 minute call to South Africa from a BT phone via access number 0203 051 2205 which is charged at 0.04p/min. Next time you receive your BT bill you will see a call to our 0203 051 2205 number, a duration of 5 minutes and a total charge of 2p (.02) [5 min x0.04p = 2p].
Please note that onward international calls will not be itemised on your BT bill. You will only see you’re a single figure for calls made as provided by BT or your telephone provider.
If required, you can access the itemised list from your account on www.globalkall.com. Alternatively, we can provide you with itemised call lists on request.
Can I ring from my mobile?
Yes, you can. However be aware that you may be surcharged by your mobile operator. How much you will be charged depends on your mobile operator and which tariff plan you have.
Please note your mobile operator controls this rate on their billing system. We unfortunately have no influence on what they may charge. We advise you to get in touch with your mobile phone provider to double check their rates to our access numbers.
Can I use these access numbers outside the UK?
Our UK access number is best used in the UK only. We do have access numbers for callers from USA and Germany.
Can I use Globalkall on any landline (i.e. BT or Virgin)?
Our access numbers can be used from most landlines. The billing process for our access numbers works exactly the same as with BT; the charges will simply appear on your bill. Your landline provider should charge the same rates as BT for our access numbers.
However if you would like to check their rates please visit your providers website Should you have encountered a problem with your bill please contact them directly as they control the rates to our access numbers on their own billing systems.
When do call charges take effect?
You will be charged from the moment you are connected to our service, not the moment the call is answered at the other end. As we want our customers to benefit from no registration, low prices and access from all networks, we unfortunately cannot change this. However, should your call not be answered, you will be informed by our operator and disconnected. Your call should not take more than two minutes.
Why do I have to press the hash (#) key?
If you press the hash (#) key after the international number, you just speed up connection as the computer will know you have finished dialling. Do not worry if you forget to press the hash (#) key, a connection will still be established.
Globalkall has overcharged me!
Globalkall cannot overcharge you. The rates to our access numbers are set by Ofcom, the UK telecommunications regulator. It is common practise for all landline service providers to adhere to the charges set by Ofcom. However, the rates you are actually charged on your bill depend on the prices your service provider has configured on their billing system. We advise you to get in touch with your service provider to protest your bill. Should your service provider not settle the issue satisfactorily please contact Ofcom on 0845 456 3000.
When I ring someone abroad will they be charged for the call as well?
Normally the person receiving a call will never be charged. However if you are abroad with your mobile (i.e. not in the country the mobile number originates from) your mobile provider will charge you for receiving calls whilst abroad also known as roaming charges. For more information please contact your mobile provider.
How much can I save by using Globalkall instead of my landline provider?
Please visit your landline provider’s website to check their pricelist to see how much you can save compared to our tariffs.
I received my telephone bill and I have been charged the full international rate for my call. Why is this?
If you have been billed at your normal landline provider’s rate for the international destination you called and not at the Globalkall rate for this destination and the international number you called and not Globalkall access number appeared on your bill, this unfortunately means that the Globalkall access number was not dialled before the international call was made.
When you call a destination via Globalkall from a landline, your landline provider does not know the international number you are calling via Globalkall, your landline provider can only show you the Globalkall access number you have called.
As the international number has appeared on your landline provider’s bill, this suggests that the call was made via your normal landline provider and not via Globalkall. So next time you make an international call, remember to dial the Globalkall access number before you dial the international telephone number.
Is there a limit to the amount I can Top Up my account?
